Abia State NUJ gets palliatives from Unubiko Foundation

Journalists in Abia State have received some food items as palliatives to cushion the effect of Coronavirus pandemic from an older colleague, Mr. James Umeh, an indigene of the state under the platform of his Unubiko Foundation.

The items, which were delivered to the state office of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Umuahia by Project Manager of the Foundation, Isani Benjamin, included 100 bags of rice and 200 cartons of Noodles worth over N3m.

Presenting the items on behalf of Umeh, a former Editor of Leadership Newspaper and now Chief Executive Officer of Koos Media Consult Abuja, Chief of Staff to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Dr. Anthony Agbazuere, commended the journalists for their role in covering the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chairman of NUJ in the state, Comrade John Emejor, commended the donor for his gesture, saying it was the only one so far extended to journalists in the state.
