ITF Global Gets New VP in Comrade Adeyanju
The International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) Global has elected Comrade Adewale Adeyanju as it’s new Vice president.
The election, which now makes Comrade Adeyanju an Executive Board Member, ITF Global, and Chairman, ITF Africa, occurred during the body’s Regional Conference held in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, between March 5 and 7, 2024.
Comrade Adeyanju’s feathers include being the President-General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) as well as the Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC)
Before Dr. Adeyanju’s elevation to the aforementioned positions in the International Transport Workers Federation, the tenacious Labour Leader was the Chairman, Seafarers and Dockers Sessions, ITF London, Member Fair Practices Committee (FPC).
Prince Adeyanju’s sterling qualities of leadership and dynamic style of relationship with employers and employees in the labour sector, particularly in the maritime industry, cannot be overemphasized.
In a press statement by the Head of Media for MWUN, Comrade John-Kennedy Ikemefuna, he said it was imperative to correct previous press reports that Comrade Adeyanju has been elected and announced in the Abidjan Regional Conference as Vice President, Africa; Chairman, West Africa; and Executive Board Member of the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF).
