Seme Customs Command maintains cordial relationship with media, says Nnadi

Seme Customs Area Command has assured that it maintains a robust and cordial relationship with journalists in the country, insisting the media remained crucial to the success of the operations of its men and officers.

Comptroller Dera Nnadi, who recently took over from Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) B.M. Jibo at the Seme Customs Area Command, stated this when some journalist visited him at the command, saying that the synergy between journalists and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) could not be quantified.

Those who were present with Nnadi during the visit are the Deputy Controller (DC) in charge of Export, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the command, Hussaini Abdullahi, a Superintendent of Customs (SC) and another top officer of the command.

Nnadi restated that the bond and fraternity between him and the media dated back to his days as PRO of the command, stressing that the cordial working relationship continued when he was DC Enforcement at Tin Can Island Command with the DC Export as his Second in Command (2ic).

Responding, the journalists commended Nnadi for his cordial relationship with the media since he assumed office at the border command as Comptroller Nnadi assured that his doors would always remain open to the media and that he was ready to meet with them any time he is available.

He, however, urged them to exercise restraint if he is unavoidably absent due to the exigencies of duty.
