SIFAX Group Chairman, Afolabi Gets Brandcom, MARAN Awards

Chairman of major investors in the Nigerian Maritime sector, SIFAX Group, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, was recently conferred with the Brandcom and Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) awards, as the most Outstanding Maritime Company of the year in Lagos.
General Manager, Corporate Communications of the company, Muyiwa Akande, who represented Afolabi and collected the award on his behalf at the ceremony in Ikeja, said the recognition was received with appreciation and pledge by the management of the company to contribute more to the development of the maritime sector and the nation’s economy.
Commenting on the Brandcom and MARAN awards, as the most Outstanding Maritime Company of the year held at the Providence Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, Afolabi dedicated the honour to God Almighty, who spared his life to witness the auspicious ceremony, his family member, who he described as his motivator, as well as the management and entire staff members of the SIFAX Group.

 He also commended Brandcom and MARAN for the recognition, adding that the award will spur him to do greater exploits with a view to contributing more positively to the nation’s maritime sector and the development of the Nigerian economy.
