NIPOST issues 200,000 stamps to celebrate India’s Mahatma Gandhi

The Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) is issuing out 200,000 commemorative stamps to mark the 150^th birthday of India’s peacemaker and nationalist, Mahatma Gandhi.

NIPOST’s Postmaster General/Chief Executive Officer, Bisi Adegbuyi, disclosed this at the official launch of the postage stamp at the High Commission of India in Abuja.

He described the late Ghandi as a man of peace, adding that it was not a misplaced priority to celebrity him, especially now that the globe witnesses unprecedented strife.
