The Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) Worldwide yesterday urged the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to apologise to Ndigbo and South East governors over their activities, which it said, have brought humiliation to the zone and entire country.
It threatened to expose the commercial activities of IPOB, as they have done more damage to Ndigbo than they appear to salvage the situation the Igbo have found themselves since 2015.
National President of OYC, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, also charged the South East governors to disregard the committee set up to interface between them and IPOB, nothing that there was no reason for settlement except IPOB apologises to Ndigbo and its leaders.
In a statement, he noted that IPOB started losing popularity before the 2019 elections, when it destroyed their members Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and plotted the fall of governors David Umahi of Ebonyi State, Ifyanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State in their re-election bids.
“IPOB destroyed the old political order and erected their own family dynasty through disorientation missiles and propaganda from Radio Biafra, which was applauded by Igbo, but unfortunately IPOB had lost Igbo consciousness, as the group now does the political bidding of politicians outside Igbo land”.
“We have not found out what they did with a Northern Presidential Candidate in 2019, when Nnamdi Kanu declared few days before the presidential election that ‘it was done and dusted and its ‘no referendum no election slogan,” the statement added.
