Family of a police officer, who was killed by soldiers of the 93 Battalion in Taraba State, has demanded justice over the gruesome murder of their son, Inspector Mark Edaile.
His immediate elder brother, Andrew Edaile, who made the plea at a media briefing yesterday in Abuja, sought independent enquiry by local and international bodies to unravel the killing of Mark, who he said, had served the nation for 16 years.
He warned that if the Federal Government fails to carry out a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice, the family would resolve that Mark’s murder was an act of conspiracy.
“We come before all well-meaning Nigerians and the international community to state our displeasure over the gruesome murder of our brother who was on official duty.
“We speak against the perpetrators of the heinous act by the Nigerian Army and we demand thorough investigation by national, international community and independent bodies so that justice will be done,” he said.
