Edo govt to probe fraud in state’s colleges

Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has inaugurated a five-man panel to investigate financial misappropriation, among other allegations, in the state’s four colleges in the last 10 years.

Speaking at the inauguration of the commission headed by former Head of Service (HoS), Mrs. Gladys Idahor, in Government House, Benin City, Obaseki urged the members to get to the root of what transpired in the colleges and how the institutions crumbled.

The institutions to be investigated include the two colleges of education in Ekiadolor and Igueben; Michael Imoudu College of Physical Education, Afuze; and the College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi.
