Again, bandits kill six in Katsina, Masari wants safety of corps members

The Katsina State Police Command has confirmed the death of six persons who were killed following attacks by bandits on Dan Sabau, Makera and Pawwa villages in Kankara Local Government Area at the weekend.

There were, however, reports that the casualty figure may be higher, as several people were still missing, while several others sustained injuries during the attack.

Bandits had attacked communities in Kankara and Danmusa council areas a couple of days ago, where no fewer than 10 persons were killed.

It was also learnt that cattle and other domestic animals were rustled in the Kankara incident.

Confirming the incident, spokesperson of the state police command, SP Gambo Isah, said upon receiving a distress call, police moved to the area and engaged the bandits in a battle.
