President Muhammadu Buhari has been charged by the Action Democratic Party (ADP) to revisit the subsidy regime on petroleum products in the larger interest of the country.
Sani Yabaji, the National Chairman, who spoke at the party’s 16thNational Working Committee (NWC) meeting in Abuja, maintained that more needed to be done to ensure that Nigerians reap the benefits of subsidising petroleum products.
He told President Buhari to consider payment of fuel subsidy directly to filling stations to eliminate middlemen.
He then urged the National Assembly to make necessary laws to ensure that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conduct local government elections across the country.
