COUNCIL WORKERS SALARIES APC WANTS DISCLOSURE OF STATE, LOCAL GOVERNMENT ALLOCATION.

Under the auspices of Concerned APC Youth, youth wing of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bauchi State has asked Governor Bala Mohammed to disclose monthly salaries of state and local government workers.

Mukhtar Jibril. Spokesman of the group, gave the charge yesterday, while addressing journalists in Bauchi.

He said the call became necessary, as the governor had alleged during his campaign that the previous government used to siphon N1.9 billion monthly during payment of salaries.

“We did not forget his claims during his campaigns. Therefore, we urge him to tell the world the exact amount of money being used to pay state and local governments workers as monthly salaries.

“We need to know how much he is paying as salaries so that the people are aware if the claims are true or false,” The new government has started paying salaries now. So, he said.
