The crisis rocking Lagos State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has worsened as a faction loyal to former Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George, alleged that its gubernatorial candidate, Jimi Agbaje, mismanaged campaign funds and exploited members.
State Chairman of the party, Dr. Agboola Dominic, who spoke at a media briefing alongside political adviser to George, Uthman Shodipe-Dosunmu, said Agbaje was not prepared to win the 2019 governorship election.
He also faulted Agbaje over his statement in which he described Chief George as someone of ‘a sick mind’, while also condemning comment credited to Agbaje accusing George of being behind speculations of his exit, adding that the speculations could have only emanated from people of ‘sick mind.
It, therefore, expressed disappointment at the comment attributed to Agbaje, saying he did not portray himself as a thoroughbred Yoruba man.
