Experts proffer solutions to projects delay in Nigeria

Experts in the construction industry have proffered solutions to delay in projects delivery in the country.
Highlighting the solutions at a forum in Lagos, first Vice President of the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIB), Kunle Awobodu, blamed the situation on use of obsolete equipment and machineries.
He said the engineering sector has failed to deliver most of its projects on time because it depends on obsolete machines, which could fail at any time.
He, therefore, urged the government and investors to establish manufacturing units in Nigeria where new equipment would be produced.
Speaking, former Governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel, revealed that there is a growing demand for the development of critical infrastructure and construction projects in Nigeria and Kresta Laurel was ready to deliver without any compromises.
Managing Director of Kresta Laurel, Dideolu Falobi, said using professionals, as project managers without requisite training, should be avoided.
