A group of concerned bidders in the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) cargo surveys contract has urged the management of the authority to investigate its bid process.
In a petition dated May 25, 2019 and entitled: ‘Re: Cargo Surveys Contract Bids – Attempts To Derail The Due Process,’ and addressed to the Managing Director of NPA, they alleged that the exercise did not follow due process against the backdrop of the Federal Government’s transparency campaign policy
But a source dismissed the claim, maintaining that the agency obeyed all known laws.
According to the group, some unqualified companies allegedly participated in the exercise.
