EFCC charges Naira Marley for card theft, forgery

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has slammed Azeez Adeshina Fashola, also known as Naira Marley with 11-count charge bordering on card theft and forgery before a Lagos Federal High Court.

In the case marked FHC/L/178c/19, the musician and his associates, many of who are now at large, will be formally dock on Monday, May 20, 2019.

Details of the court papers obtained in Abuja showed that most of the charges border on use of forged or stolen access cards to obtain money, offences punishable under the Cyber Crimes Prohibition Law of Nigeria.

The charge dated May 14, 2019 was signed and collected by Marley on May 15, 2019. He is still being detained by the EFCC in Lagos.
