Union Bank Wins Gender Inclusion Award As Aluko Named Top 50 Marketing Leader At WIMCA 2026

Union Bank of Nigeria has been recognised for its leadership in promoting gender inclusion, emerging as the Most Outstanding Bank in Gender Inclusion at the Women in Marketing and Communications Conference and Awards, WIMCA 2026.
The award was presented on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The recognition affirms the Bank’s commitment to building an inclusive workplace and financial ecosystem that empowers women, female entrepreneurs and professionals through tailored products, capacity building, mentorship, networking and broader economic opportunities.
Themed “Grow, Give, Glow: Building Resilience for Distinction,” WIMCA 2026 brought together leading female marketing and communications professionals across Africa to discuss industry trends, leadership, resilience and women’s advancement within the brand and marketing ecosystem.
Described as the largest gathering of female marketing and communications professionals on the continent, the conference featured speakers and panelists from across the industry.
Union Bank’s Chief Brand and Marketing Officer, Mrs. Olufunmilola Aluko, was among the speakers. She was also named one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing and Communications at the event.
Reacting to both honours, Mrs. Aluko said the recognition validates Union Bank’s sustained investment in gender inclusion as a driver of institutional excellence, innovation and sustainable growth.
