Polaris Bank has hosted children of its employees to a day of fun, learning, and workplace discovery as part of its commitment to strengthening employee engagement and building meaningful connections with staff families.
The “Bring Your Child to Work” programme welcomed children aged six years and above who were selected through an internal trivia draw. The participants were given the opportunity to tour the Bank’s offices, interact with staff across departments, and gain firsthand insight into the daily operations of a financial institution.
A major highlight was a guided tour of the banking hall and various departments, where the children learned how different teams contribute to the Bank’s services. This was followed by interactive sessions focused on teamwork, creativity, curiosity, and responsible financial habits.
Speaking at the event, the MD/CEO, Polaris Bank, Mr. Kayode Lawal, represented by the Head of Human Resources, Mr. Okanwaju Oyekunle, urged the children to be inquisitive and make the most of the experience.
“At Polaris Bank, we believe work is about solving problems, helping people, learning, and making meaningful contributions. Be curious, ask questions, and have fun,” he said.
Also speaking, the Executive Director, Corporate & Investment Banking, Mrs. Abimbola Ozomah, facilitated a pep talk where she introduced the children to the basics of banking, the importance of saving, and how financial institutions support individuals and businesses.
For the parents, the programme provided an opportunity to share their work environment with their children and reinforce values of responsibility, collaboration, and service.
Polaris Bank said the initiative underscores its focus on employee wellbeing and an inclusive workplace culture where professional and family life are valued.
