YOUNG INNOVATORS CAMP 2026 KICKS OFF JULY 20 WITH SUPPORT FROM FIDELITY BANK

Leading financial institution, Fidelity Bank Plc, has thrown its weight behind the 2026 edition of the Young Innovators Camp, a free learning programme organised by MONAT to introduce children to practical Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
The camp is set to begin on 20 July 2026 and will run as an immersive experience for children. The focus is to help participants develop creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities through hands-on projects and guided activities.
According to the organisers, the programme was designed to make STEM simple, fun and relevant for young learners. Children will take part in age-appropriate lessons, collaborative building sessions, and interactive exercises aimed at sparking curiosity. The curriculum will also include small group sessions with facilitators, financial literacy classes, and creative workshops intended to boost confidence and communication skills.
Speaking on the partnership, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head, Brand and Communications at Fidelity Bank Plc, said the Bank is investing early because the future will be driven by innovation. He explained that equipping children with STEM knowledge from a young age helps them see possibilities and believe in their capacity to shape solutions.
“The world ahead will belong to those who can think differently and use technology to solve everyday problems,” Dr. Nwagboh said. “Through the Young Innovators Camp, we are creating a space where children can explore science and technology in a practical way. Our goal is for every child to leave the camp more curious, more confident, and more convinced that they can contribute to building the future.”
He added that education remains central to Fidelity Bank’s purpose of helping individuals and communities grow, thrive and prosper. He described STEM education as a strategic investment in Nigeria’s human capital, noting that today’s campers could become the engineers, inventors, entrepreneurs and technology leaders of tomorrow.
“As a bank, we see value in partnering with organisations like MONAT that are committed to skills development,” he said. “This initiative goes beyond a holiday programme. It is about preparing a generation with the right mindset, tools and confidence to tackle real challenges and create opportunities for themselves and for the country.”
The 2026 Young Innovators Camp aligns with Fidelity Bank’s broader corporate social responsibility agenda, which prioritises youth empowerment, education and access to opportunities. The Bank has previously supported education-focused programmes such as SWEETA, and continues to expand its interventions that prepare young people for a technology-driven economy.
To make the learning experience continuous, every participant will go home with a specially curated gift pack containing educational resources and STEM learning materials. Organisers said this is to encourage children to keep exploring after the camp ends.
Registration for the camp is free and open to children between the ages of 4 and 10. Interested parents and guardians can enroll their wards by visiting https://monatng.com/event/young-innovators-camp/.
