UNION BANK CELEBRATES ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES WITH BRONZE WIN AT 2026 PITCHER AWARDS
By Prince Benson Davies
Union Bank of Nigeria has added another continental recognition to its record, with the Endless Possibilities campaign winning Bronze in the Heritage category at the 2026 Pitcher Awards. The awards, regarded as one of Africa’s leading platforms for creative excellence, also shortlisted the campaign in the Film Craft category, highlighting the quality of execution behind the work.
The recognition came after a review of entries submitted from across Africa, where the campaign stood out for how it connected history with present-day aspirations. The Heritage category specifically rewards brands that draw from their past to remain meaningful to new audiences, and Union Bank’s entry was judged to meet that standard.
With a history dating back to 1917, Union Bank has remained part of Nigeria’s economic and social development for over a century. The Endless Possibilities campaign builds on that foundation by focusing on the determination and creativity of Nigerians who pursue their goals despite challenges. The storytelling approach was designed to reflect the same resilience that has defined the bank across generations, rather than present a break from its identity.
The Bronze win in Heritage was complemented by the Film Craft shortlist, which acknowledged the technical and artistic elements of the campaign’s production. Together, the two recognitions show how the bank is investing in content that is both culturally relevant and professionally executed.
Olufunmilola Aluko, Chief Brand and Marketing Officer at Union Bank of Nigeria, spoke on the recognition and said the award validates the bank’s focus on authentic storytelling. She explained that Endless Possibilities was created to reflect the Nigerian spirit and to reinforce the bank’s commitment to supporting customers and communities as they pursue their ambitions. She also noted pride in the Film Craft shortlist, which she said was a result of strong collaboration among the creative teams involved.
The Pitcher Awards recognition further strengthens Union Bank’s reputation for communications that connect locally while resonating beyond Nigeria. As the bank continues to engage audiences across the country and the continent, it says it will keep producing work that inspires confidence and supports progress.
