PCRC, GUARD TIME INFORMATION PARTNER TO BOOST COMMUNITY POLICING AND HUMAN RIGHTS ADVOCACY

The National Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyan, today in Abuja received Comrade Bibi Oduku, Chairman of Guard Time Information, Human Rights Activists Nationwide, for a strategic collaboration meeting focused on advancing human rights and community development.
The meeting held in the Federal Capital Territory centered on strengthening the relationship between the Nigerian Police Force and the public through joint programmes and public enlightenment.
Alhaji Olaniyan commended the impactful work of Guard Time Information in defending and protecting the rights of citizens, as well as promoting the overall well being of Nigerians. He emphasized that the collaboration will foster greater public enlightenment and progressive programmes aimed at building trust between the Police and the communities they serve.
Key focus areas of the partnership include promoting non violence and peace building initiatives, educational programmes for police officers and their families, awareness campaigns on drug abuse, crime prevention, and social vices, as well as strengthening human rights advocacy and developmental programmes in response to emerging challenges.
Comrade Bibi Oduku expressed optimism that the collaboration will enhance peace, security, and effective community service across Nigeria. He reaffirmed the commitment of Guard Time Information to supporting the Nigerian Police Force in its role as the foremost internal security agency.
He further highlighted ongoing nationwide campaigns addressing drug abuse, crime prevention, and the promotion and protection of citizens’ rights in higher institutions, particularly in light of the growing challenges associated with substance abuse and its impact on society.
Oduku said the partnership marks a significant step toward building a safer, more informed, and rights conscious society.
He added that PCRC Nigeria with Guard Time Information will ensure that human rights and peace building, drug awareness and public safety programmes are well handled.
