A human rights advocacy group, GTI Human Rights Advocacy, has extended greetings to Muslim families and called on the Nigerian government to ensure transparency in the distribution of government-provided rice and other relief items.

In a statement signed by Comrade Bibi Oduku, Chairman of GTI National Human Rights Activists, the group emphasized the importance of proper notification to Muslim leaders and the public on the distribution process, including the location of distribution centers, official times for collection, and guidelines for fair access.

The statement also highlighted the need for community leaders to supervise the process to avoid discrimination or mismanagement, and called on religious leaders, civil society organizations, and community stakeholders to work together in promoting peace and justice.

The group urged the government to use various channels, including mosques, community announcements, local government offices, and media outlets, to inform Muslim communities about the distribution process.

The statement concluded by wishing Muslims a happy Sallah celebration and emphasizing the importance of unity, peace, and justice in Nigeria.

Comrade Bibi Oduku emphasized that the group is committed to promoting human rights and ensuring that relief programs are distributed fairly to all citizens without bias.
