Port Police Command Gets SIFAX Group’s Support for Enhanced Security Operations

SIFAX Group has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Port Authority Police, Western Command, in its efforts to strengthen security at the Lagos ports. The company’s Chairman, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, made this pledge while receiving the new Commissioner of Police, Port Authority Police (Western) Command, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Iyabode Agbaminoja, who paid a courtesy visit to the company.

Afolabi emphasized the need for all stakeholders in the nation’s port ecosystem to support the operations of the Command to ensure the security of lives and property, safeguard port infrastructure, and guarantee a conducive environment for legitimate commercial activities. He lauded Agbaminoja’s performance in her previous postings and pledged SIFAX Group’s support and cooperation for all the Command’s initiatives.

The company’s Group Head, Corporate Communications, Olumuyiwa Akande, stated that SIFAX Group will continue to support the Port Authority Police Command in its efforts to enhance security at the Lagos ports. The company’s commitment to partnering with security agencies is driven by its belief that security requires stakeholder collaboration to be effective and sustainable.

The new Commissioner of Police, Agbaminoja, commended SIFAX Group for its impact in the industry and noted that the visit was aimed at strengthening the relationship between the company and the Command. She was accompanied by senior officers of the Command, who were also received by a team from SIFAX Group, led by the Chairman.

The partnership between SIFAX Group and the Port Authority Police Command is expected to enhance security and facilitate legitimate trade at the Lagos ports.
