Provost refutes alleged misappropriation of funds at TASCE

Provost of Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE), Dr. Adeola Kiadese, has denied spending millions of Naira from the institution’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to buy gifts for imams and pastors during festivities.

Based on the allegation, staff members under the aegis of Coalition of TASCE Staff (COTAS) have banned Kiadese from entering the campus for the past four months.

But speaking to journalists at Ijebu Ode yesterday, Kiadese described the allegations as frivolous and an attack on his personality aimed at denting his reputation.

“All the allegations of spending N150, 000 to buy rams for each chief imam and pastor in Ogun State, drawing N3 million rebate on a monthly basis from the state government and allegations against members of Ogun State House of Assembly were meant to malign my character,” he stated.

He explained that TASCE under his watch increased its IGR, adding that with less than 2,000 students’ enrolment and N38, 000 fee per student, the college could not have generated N400 million in two years as being alleged by the COTAS.

Responding, the college spokesperson, Mrs. Fisayo Olajide said, “We have documentary evidence to back some of the Provost’s achievements for the past two years, including upgrading of the result computation software in the school.”
