Comptroller Shuaibu Pledges to Excel in New Role at FOU Zone A

Comptroller Mohammed Shuaibu has assumed leadership of the Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone A, Ikeja, Lagos, as its 28th Comptroller. In his inaugural address, Shuaibu called for maximum cooperation from officers and men to deliver on the unit’s anti-smuggling mandate. He emphasised adherence to the Nigeria Customs Service’s seven Golden Rules, expressing gratitude to the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, for the opportunity to serve. Shuaibu’s leadership is expected to enhance the unit’s efforts in curbing smuggling and enforcing trade regulations.
Comptroller Mohammed Shuaibu solicited the support and maximum cooperation of the unit’s officers and men to deliver on the service’s mandates. He emphasised the importance of adhering to the service’s seven Golden Rules (7Cs) to always guide officers’ actions and decisions.
The new comptroller expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah and the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, for the opportunity to serve as comptroller of FOU A. He expressed optimism that the unit will excel in its mandates.
Comptroller Shuaibu, a seasoned officer par excellence, has worked and served in different capacities across several customs formations.
Earlier in his address, the outgoing controller of the unit, Comptroller Kolapo Oladeji, urged the new comptroller to maintain the unit’s momentum by keeping the flag flying and expressed confidence in his ability to enhance the unit’s efficiency.
Oladeji thanked the CGC and the management team for the opportunity to serve and appreciated the officers’ and men’s support.
