HSE summit to boost quality life, work output holds today

A gathering of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) professionals holds today at Harbour Point on Victoria Island, Lagos.

The first of its kind in Nigeria, the event will bring together thought leaders, regulators, stakeholders and members of the public for stimulating panel-style conversations, keynotes and knowledge sharing sessions that will demystify the subject of HSE.

With the theme: HSE In Our DNA: The Billionaire Lifestyle, coincides with the annual global HSE week and will focus on the importance of HSE, building a robust HSE culture, HSE management system implementation and how to become an HSE professional, among others.

As technology continues to advance, discussions will also focus on how it could be applied to make HSE profession better.

Special emphasis will be laid on ensuring that sessions are relatable, and individuals could apply to their everyday lives.

Speakers and special guests such as Director General Lagos Safety Commission, Akeem Dickson and CEO, Century Group, Ken Etete, among others, will attend the event.

Speaking, Chief Strategy Officer at Global Performance Index International, George Ashiru, said: “We set out to host this summit because we realised that the principles and core tenets of HSE, when applied to everyday living, have a tremendous impact on quality of life and overall work output.
