NSC Management Strengthens Governance with Inauguration of Disciplinary Committee”

The Executive Secretary/CEO of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has inaugurated a disciplinary committee for both Senior and Junior Staff Association of the Council. This move is aimed at promoting discipline, accountability, and good governance within the association, and ensuring that members of the association adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and conduct.
Speaking during the inauguration of the committee, Barr. Akutah said the inauguration of the committee was in line with civil service rules, adding that the Council has placed discipline at the forefront in its operational activities.
While calling on the newly inaugurated disciplinary committee to embrace fair play in the discharge of their duties.
He also called on the committee to ensure proper investigation of issues that are brought before them by members of the council’s staff.
The Director, Human Resources Management Department, Mrs. Ada Okam, harped on the importance of discipline in the workplace.
Mr. Emeka Okereke, who represented Director, Legal Services Department of the Council, Mr. Bala Saleh expressed the Committee’s readiness to work assiduously towards promoting discipline in the Council
