Addressing officers and men during the parade, he commended the efforts of the Customs Area Controller and his officers for the strides they have achieved so far in the area of our core mandate. He went further to emphasize the need to help curb the security challenges facing Kebbi, stressing that the Customs leadership believes in you.

He said a secured Kebbi might not be achieved further without strengthening the relationship between the command, sister agencies, stakeholders, and traditional rulers.
Subsequently, he held a closed-door meeting with stakeholders, charging them to be compliant traders and urging them to abide by the customs existing laws during cross-border trade.

To encourage work-life balance and capacity building, which are some of the vision of the Comptroller General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, the Assistant Comptroller General Customs commissioned a five-a-side football pitch and an E-library/Learning Centre, which are fully sponsored by our stakeholders. This is due to the command’s cordial relationships with the stakeholders, which have been improving steadily.

He concluded the visit by paying homage to the emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar CFR, to seek his blessings as he retires back home.
