Ngbo Women in Lagos Elect New Executives.

Ngbo Development Union ( NDU) is an umbrella socio-cultural organization comprising all Ngboejeogu peoples in Lagos from Ngbo, a town in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. Its affiliate, NDUW, the women’s wing, had successfully elected NEW officials to run its affairs for the next three years.
During the election held on August 25th in Surulere Lagos, the President of Ngbo Dev Union Lagos, Chief Chukwuma Agbo (Oizudo 1), in his speech to inaugurate the NEW executive, commended the women group for the peaceful process that led to the election.
He also thanked the election committee, made up of eminent NGBO stakeholders headed by chief Monday Onah (Oyona Nwata), chairman

Chief Emeka Nwoji ( Akuruo ulo),
Comrade Chibueze Eseson,
Mr. Ominyi (ssecretary) and Mr. Chibueze .
The ex-officio and outgoing president of the women’s wing ( NDUW), Mrs. Ifeoma Onwe ( Okwuru oha), applauded the women for all their support during her six-year tenure.
She stated her achievements include reviving the group from a moribund state when she took over to its present vibrant and attractive form, stressing that the accountability of the EXCO on the union’s finances increased membership. Another achievement mentioned by the ex-leader was the launching of uniforms, etc.
She challenged the NEW executives to engage in a more aggressive membership mobilization to sustain progress.
In her acceptance remarks, the NEW president of NDUW, Mrs. Stella Nwachukwu, promised to work hard with her team to take the group to greater heights.
