Philip Ojo Now Head TICT Corporate Communications Strategies and Initiative

Tin Can Island Container Terminal, operator of Terminal B, Tin Can Island Port, has appointed Philips Ojo to oversee and lead its corporate communications strategies and initiatives.
The company explained that this is to solidify its status as the leading terminal operator in Nigeria and position it for its next strategic-level growth phase.

In this new role, he will spearhead internal and external communications, brand management, CSR and sustainability, stakeholder engagement, advertising, and social media management.

Ojo is a communications professional with a background in journalism and corporate communications. He began his career as a journalist with DailySun Newspaper before joining the corporate communications department of SIFAX Group in 2015 and rose to become a Deputy Manager in the department.

He graduated from Lagos State University with a master’s degree in transport planning and logistics, a B.Sc. in mass communication (journalism), and a B.A. in history and international relations. He is also an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations. He has attended various trainings at the School of Communications, Pan Atlantic University, Orange Academy, Wordslingers, Webloft Concepts, and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.
